The EMV-Compatible PVC Smart Card is a CR80 PVC card (85.60 x 53.98 mm, the ISO/IEC 7810 ID-1 size used by every standard card printer and wallet). It carries a contact chip read by inserting the card into a reader.

Contact chip cards follow ISO/IEC 7816 and are read by inserting the card into a reader, so the connection is physical and cannot be skimmed at a distance. Standard for banking, secure login and anywhere the card must be deliberately presented.
